THE LOST CITY OF THE INCAS
The Inca Trail is one of the most famous treks in Latin America. Your 4 day trek will retrace an ancient civilisation and transport you on a mystical journey back in time to discover the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, Peru.
During this adventure you'll walk among the lush vegetation of the lower rainforest, climb through the high cloud forest and cross the snow line on the highest pass.
Machu Picchu is one of the world's most spectacular ruins with temples, houses, staircases and agricultural terraces built high among rugged and forested mountains with distant snow-covered Andean peaks providing a dramatic backdrop.
Walking from one beautiful ruin to the next, in the midst of the magnificent Andes, is a truly unforgettable experience and one not to be missed!
The Costs
The purpose of this tripis to have adventure, fun and to raise a shed full of money for the foundation. The cost of the trip is estimated to be around about £600.00 for the trek, flights range £600 to sit at the back of the plane, £2500 up front and we are looking at raising £1500 minimum per person. Dates - we are looking at late May early June 2012 (to be confirmed).
